Key Responsibilities
1. Product Design
Conceptualize, design, and develop new products or enhance existing ones based on market research and customer feedback.
Create detailed product specifications and assist in prototype development.
Collaborate with industrial designers and electrical engineers to ensure both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Apply basic knowledge of material selection and electrical/electronic component selection .
2. Technical Analysis
Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate product concepts.
Analyze manufacturability and apply Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimize production.
Develop and execute testing protocols for usability, durability, and safety.
Collect and analyze testing data to drive iterative improvements in product design.
3. Documentation & Compliance
Manage timelines and deliverables throughout product development.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to meet project milestones.
Conduct market and competitor research to understand customer preferences and industry trends.
Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
4. Additional Responsibilities
Assist with other business-related tasks or projects as assigned by senior management.
Adjust priorities as needed to support business objectives.
Use insights from market analysis to inform development strategies.
Supervision
Reports To: Application Engineer / General Manager
Supervisory Duties: None
Team Collaboration: Mentors and supports other team members as needed
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering , or a related discipline.
Master’s degree is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
3–5 years of experience in product engineering or a related technical field.
Proficiency with design software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, and KiCad.
Strong understanding of product development and testing methodologies.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials used in electronic component production.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively across departments in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry .
Familiarity with USCAR testing and OEM experimental standards.
Experience with Lean , Six Sigma , or similar process improvement methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Innovative mindset with a passion for technology and problem-solving.
Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (up to 20%).
