Our recent acquisition of facilities in Illinois and Wisconsin sets the stage for continued momentum. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales & Relationship Manager to join our dynamic team.
Summary
The Sanitation Program Manager is responsible for implementing and continuously improving sanitation & pest control programs and policies across the CK Snacks / Axium Manufacturing network. This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer and works closely with Plant Directors, Quality Managers, and Facilities Management.
Key Duties and Essential Job Functions
- Ensures compliance with all food safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the plants are always in proper sanitary condition.
- Evaluates facility sanitary conditions visually and analytically assess risk based on food safety and public health principles and prioritize corrective actions.
- Develop organizational competencies in sanitation principles, practices, and programs across multiple facilities.
- Troubleshoots persistent sanitation issues to identify deficiencies in the sanitation program.
- Acts as sanitation expert in the process of assessing and mitigating food safety risks associated with all aspects of manufacturing, construction, and major maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with the Directors of Operations, Quality Managers, and Facility management to maintain, audit and update the master sanitation schedule for the manufacturing facilities, according to GMP and Regulatory guidelines and requirements.
- Maintains and writes detailed cleaning procedures and SSOPs for the facility and equipment.
- Design, oversee, and audit the Environmental Monitoring Program across multiple facilities.
- Coordinates with Operations, Quality and Facilities management to prepare the plant for internal and third-party audits.
- Designs, updates and deliver sanitation-related training for sanitation and plant employees.
- Ensures that all safety requirements related to sanitation are maintained, including proper chemical storage, MSDS, PPE, and procedures.
- Evaluate, manage, and continuously improve the pest control management programs across the manufacturing network.
- Design continuous improvement strategies and plans for sanitation and pest control programs.
- Work closely with industry experts to develop a sanitation and pest control risk assessment and mitigation model.
- Develop appropriate reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to accurately reflect sanitation and pest management programs across multiple manufacturing facilities.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or 10 years of manufacturing, sanitation, or facilities management.
- Prior experience in the food industry preferred but not required.
Supervisory Responsibility
The position is responsible for overseeing (directly and/or indirectly) the manufacturing sanitation activities and for developing and delivering training programs for sanitation and pest control.
