POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Business Office Services is a key and visible department supervisor working directly with all residents, family and employees. The Regional Director of Business Office Services is responsible for the timely input of information within the accounting systems at the nursing facility and those which interface with the home office. The Director of Business Office Services is directly involved in the maintenance of accurate and complete trust accounting records, census information, billing and resident accounts receivable statements, wages paid to employees' payroll and invoice processing for the nursing facility. The Regional Director of Business Office Services is the primary individual responsible for the timely collection of accounts receivable from all payor sources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure your communities are implementing effective measures for timely receipts of all payments due from IDPA, Medicare, residents, and families.
- Ensure Business Office Managers (BOM) notify residents and families of their financial obligations upon or prior to the time of admission and obtain proper documentation of each newly-admitted resident's financial obligations is distributed, signed, and filed.
- Ensure BOM's are educating residents and families on, and assisting them in complying with IDPA and Medicare requirements and verify each residents' financial resources and ability to pay when applicable.
- Ensure BOM's implement and monitor the facility's established system for receiving, depositing, withdrawing and accounting for resident funds and guarantee that resident funds are available for the residents or their authorized representatives in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide ongoing assistance and education to the BOMs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Finance degree preferred
- First level accounting experience is strongly recommended.
- Knowledge of Healthcare billing, including Medicaid and Medicare.
- Long Term Care experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
