Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for raw materials, components, and MRO.
• Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize value.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance to ensure quality, delivery, and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with production and inventory teams to optimize material flow, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
• Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering professional growth and ensuring departmental goals are met.
• Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify new opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant industry regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost reduction strategies.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a purchasing team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven experience with international sourcing and global logistics.
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
• Experience implementing or optimizing e-procurement or P2P solutions.
• Fluency in a second language relevant to key international supplier markets.
