Oracle Generative AI Service is an exciting team in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We are delivering innovative services at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. In Generative AI Service team, you will build and operate massive-scale cloud services leveraging state of art Large Language Model technologies. We are committed to providing the best in cloud products to meet the needs of our customers who are tackling some of the world's most challenging problems.

You will be part of a team of smart, hands-on engineers with the expertise and passion to solve difficult problems in distributed highly available services and virtualized infrastructure. At every level, our engineers have a significant technical and business impact by designing and building innovative new systems to power our customer's business critical applications.

We are seeking dynamic people to join this high-profile, agile development team to own the planning, execution, and delivery of Oracle Cloud Generative AI service projects.

Minimal Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program, project and/or process management experience

  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong collaboration skills with peers and leadership team members

  • Ability to work in ambiguity, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks

  • Manage overall product backlog for multiple scrum teams (scrum of scrums) or multiple highly complex products

  • Conduct product and team backlog grooming and break down complex product requirements for multiple development teams

  • Leverage domain and user expertise to create and prioritize epics and user stories for product development

  • Develop clear and testable story and feature acceptance criteria that create shared understanding of desired results; review and accept backlog items as ready

  • Partner with Scrum Master(s) to identify continuous improvement opportunities within processes and implement strategies to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related majors

  • Knowledgeable in cloud architecture and security policies

  • Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) related or other AI services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex projects from initiative start to completion, including hand-off to delivery and customer managers

  • Use good judgment to achieve project goals and escalate quickly to ensure that project roadblocks are mitigated effectively

  • Love bringing order to chaos and running projects using tools that work for teams

  • Use your skill-set and expertise in project management including organizing cross-team activities, risk anticipation and mitigation management

  • Use your technical understanding to identify tasks, gaps, issues and risks that can be technical in nature

  • For complex projects, you are able track progress and communicate status in a way that is easy to understand for stakeholders and team members

  • Communicate the costs and benefits of various projects as part of prioritizing workload

  • Have a good eye for the details as well as focus on the business goals and time requirement

  • Collaborate, monitor, and complete Platinum build JIRA

  • Lead key agile ceremonies, such as sprint review, optimizing for maximum value

  • Work with cross-functional teams to achieve business-critical goals while ensuring Oracle security/compliance standards are met

Responsibilities

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor resouces spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $90,100 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
