As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in our physical therapy department, working closely with our licensed physical therapists to design and implement individualized treatment plans for our patients.

About the Role:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at The Orchards at Wayne, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from Rehabilitation to Long-Term Care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and exercises

• Developing and implementing treatment plans under the guidance of physical therapists

• Providing patient education and training to promote independence and safe discharge

• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

• Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assists with patient therapy sessions, including exercises, stretches, and other treatments

• Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients and staff

• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress

• Assists with patient transfers, lifts, and moves, as needed

• Provides emotional support and encouragement to patients and families

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required

• Completion of a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
