As a Locum MD/DO, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical coverage, ensuring continuity of care for pediatric patients. This position involves working on-site and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team to deliver high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical coverage for pediatric patients in the absence of permanent staff
• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments to diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address concerns and provide education
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Adhere to all relevant medical protocols, regulations, and ethical standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Pediatrics
• Valid state medical license to practice as an MD or DO
• Proven experience working in pediatric care settings
• Strong knowledge of pediatric medical practices and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Duties: Physical exams, immunizations, identifying and treating illnesses, etc.

Multidisciplinary team of internists, specialists, and dedicated support staff

EMR: AthenaHealth

Must be board-certified
