Rooted Balance Massage & Esthetics in Niles, MI is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team of 1099 independent contractors. We recently moved into a larger building here in Niles, and our client base has remained steady through the transition. Our current therapists are fully booked, so new clients will be directed to you as you build your schedule. This role starts part‐time with room to grow. Evening and/or Saturday availability is helpful. Applicants must have a valid Michigan massage license and carry professional liability insurance.

This position offers the freedom of working independently while providing the support of a team and dedicated admin/management. Pay is a service‐based rate, starting at $40 per 60‐minute service, with pay increases as you take on additional responsibilities. We provide paid training, including training on our POS and scheduling system, Boulevard and our phone system, Weave. Therapists work independently during their shifts, greeting clients, guiding them through their appointment, and completing check‐out, so being comfortable learning our POS system and phone service is important.

Scheduling is a collaborative effort and therapist availability and preferences are taken into account while balancing client demand. We do not take walk-ins and do not require staff to take same day appointments.

Our admin team manages the operational side of the business—marketing, website, online booking, scheduling, cancellations, rescheduling, sick‐day coverage, and general facility upkeep—so therapists can focus on client care. We prioritize proper cleaning and sanitation practices, and each therapist maintains their treatment space to those standards.

Our practice is built on providing high‐quality, client‐centered bodywork in a calm, clean, and inclusive environment. We use non‐toxic products and maintain a clinical yet relaxing atmosphere. We value professionalism, communication, compassion, and integrity. In return, we ask that therapists uphold professional boundaries, follow clinical protocols (intake, SOAP notes, draping, sanitation), communicate clearly, maintain licensure and insurance, and contribute positively to our team culture.

We are always open to including new modalities, but our highest demand thus far is for Deep Tissue Massage, Medical Massage, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder). We also offer sports massage, relaxation, prenatal, hot stone, cupping, CranioSacral, facials and waxing.
