Senior Product Manager - Payments

Ford
Dearborn, MI

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world.

In this position…

  • Shape the Future of Ford's Digital Commerce: You'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing how millions of customers interact with Ford through our payment platform, FordPay. This is your chance to drive innovation and directly impact the customer experience, making transactions seamless and secure across the Ford ecosystem.

  • Own a Critical Product Area and Grow Your Expertise: As the Senior Product Manager, you'll have significant autonomy to own and develop key features within FordPay. You'll collaborate with a talented cross-functional team, sharpen your product management skills, and gain invaluable experience in the rapidly evolving world of e-commerce payments.

  • Make a Visible Impact in a Company Undergoing a Transformation: You'll be joining Ford at a pivotal moment as we transform into a digital-first company. Your work will be highly visible and contribute directly to Ford's strategic goals, giving you the opportunity to influence the future of mobility and build a rewarding career within a global leader.

What you'll do…

  • Define and Drive the Product Roadmap: You'll own the strategic direction of key FordPay features, working closely with engineering, design, and business partners to translate vision into actionable roadmaps.
  • Champion User Needs and Market Trends: You'll conduct user research, analyze market trends, and gather competitive insights to identify opportunities and prioritize features that resonate with our customers.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You'll partner with engineering, design, and operations teams to bring your product vision to life, ensuring seamless execution and alignment across the organization.
  • Analyze and Optimize Product Performance: You'll use data-driven insights to continuously monitor and improve FordPay's performance, identifying areas for optimization and driving measurable results.
  • Communicate and Evangelize the Product Vision: You'll effectively communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a closely related field is essential.
  • 6+ Years of Product Management Experience: Proven experience (6+ years) in product management, specifically within e-commerce, payments, or fintech. This experience should include defining product strategy, developing roadmaps, and launching new features.
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies: Solid understanding of and experience working within Agile development environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile).
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Even better, you may have…

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience with Payment Orchestration Platforms: Experience working with payment orchestration platforms, payment gateways, or other payment processing technologies.
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry: Familiarity with the automotive industry or subscription-based services.
  • Experience with User Research and Testing: Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to inform product decisions.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
