Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and verification of measurement tools and equipment.
• Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology equipment.
• Analyze measurement data, interpret results, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with metrology equipment, performing minor repairs and coordinating external service.
• Develop and update calibration procedures, work instructions, and measurement plans.
• Assist in root cause analysis for non-conforming parts or measurement discrepancies.
• Ensure all metrology activities comply with internal quality standards and industry regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers, vision systems).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience in a manufacturing quality control or metrology lab environment.
• Knowledge of calibration principles and measurement uncertainty.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
• Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., PolyWorks, GOM Inspect, laser tracker software)
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Advanced application and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
