St. Roch Rescue Veterinary clinic is a full-service low cost spay and neuter clinic putting Rescue and shelter dogs first.
Our mission is to keep costs affordable to relieve as much financial burden as possible for rescues/shelters to stay open and to provide this same relief for the community keeping pets and unwanted litters out of the shelters.
Our hope is for this clinic to be a beacon of light to those who need it the most while driving down shelter numbers for years to come .
We are located on the same property as the beautiful Serenity oaks Equine & farm sanctuary.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Your experience will contribute to the overall health and well-being of Rescue, shelter and community pets and other animals, ensuring they receive the proper care in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor animal patients' vital signs and overall condition.
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized animals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance.
- Work in a fast paced spay and neuter environment
- Handle animals safely and compassionately during examinations and treatments.
Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills:
- knowledge of animal care practices.
- Experience in veterinary Surgical settings.
- Passionate about Rescue and spay and neutering
- Familiarity with kennel operations and animal husbandry practices.
- Compassionate towards community pet owners in financial hardship
- Experience with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
- Ability to work independently
- Skills in animal catheterization and intubation for various surgeries.
- animal handling abilities to ensure safety for both staff and patients.
