Job Title: SMT Operator

Location: Battle Creek, MI

Pay: $18-21/hr

2nd and 3rd shift Openings

Job Overview:

We are seeking a SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator to support our electronics manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating SMT production equipment used to assemble electronic components onto circuit boards for automotive lighting systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics manufacturing and a strong focus on quality, precision, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate SMT production equipment including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens
• Set up SMT machines and load feeders with electronic components according to production schedules
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper placement and soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
• Inspect circuit boards for defects such as missing components, misalignment, or solder issues
• Perform basic machine adjustments and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance or engineering teams
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S manufacturing practices
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals

Qualifications:

• Previous SMT or electronics manufacturing experience preferred
• Familiarity with SMT equipment, PCBs, and electronic components is a plus
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
