Civil Engineer (PE), (EIT) - Project Engineer

Webuild () is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to engage in hands-on project engineering work for a variety of engineering design projects, including storm water, wastewater, highway / roadway (MDOT) and grading design for site plans related to municipal and private project initiatives throughout Michigan and select Mid-West markets.

The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience and be deeply involved in performing hands-on engineering tasks such as civil site design, underground utility (street, sewer, water, and storm drains) engineering, formulating rough and final grading plans, along with making hydraulic calculations and as-built plans. Utilizing CAD to develop both conceptual and final designs for projects in support the project manager in completing projects on-time and within budgetary requirements is essential. You must have the abilities to coordinate permitting with city agencies, draft RFI’s, and Maintenance of traffic plans.

In this role, the Project Engineer will also be called upon to assist leadership in writing, reviewing and approving project specifications, formulating cost estimates / proposals, assessing bid requests and attending progress meetings with stakeholders. You will be an integral part of the project engineering team working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) or (EIT) in Michigan. EIT’s need the ability to obtain professional registration in a timely manner upon employment. Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D is essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
