Shipping clerk

Position Title: Shipping Clerk (Hi-Lo)

Location: Clinton Township, MI

Pay Rate: $17.00/hr

Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Mandatory Overtime as Needed)

JOB DESCRIPTION

REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintain good attendance record

• Understanding written and verbal instructions

• Working knowledge of Plex

• Maintain a good safety record

• Knowledge of customer parts packaging

• Willingness and ability to accept direction and instructions

• Ability to work overtime and weekends on short notice

• Good teamwork approach and attitude

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate shippers and track inventory utilizing Plex system

• Receive in Customer parts and label all boxes through the Plex system

• Make sure all customer orders are created in Plex

• Helped with receiving in and label all incoming Materials through the Plex system such as chemicals, powders and paints with serial/lot numbers.

• Interface with customer personnel in a professional and courteous manner.

- Answer all emails – internally and customer -in a timely manner.

• Knowledge of our customers’ parts and requirements

• Periodically do cycle counts through auditing the dock in order to keep inventory system up to date.

• Provide certifications to customers as required.

• Help to ensure that all in-coming and out-going shipments match paperwork and correct discrepancies.

• Follow up on discrepancies as required.

• Complete shipping paperwork accurately and correctly.

• Willingness to take late lunches and breaks whenever necessary to complete required work in a timely fashion

• Back up dock hilo drivers when needed

• Follow safety rules throughout the plant. Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Follow all production, shipping, receiving and quality procedures.

• Maintain a level of Customer service consistent with Chieftain Coatings Core
