Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes for precision part manufacturing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Adjust machine offsets, change tooling, and troubleshoot minor machine alarms or malfunctions.
• Load raw material, unload finished parts, and ensure proper part containment.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, perform basic preventative maintenance, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Document production data, quality checks, and machine parameters accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform G-code edits, tool offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and quality control procedures (e.g., GD&T).
• Capable of performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting minor operational issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Basic CAD/CAM software knowledge for program review or minor edits.
• Demonstrated ability to perform preventative machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
