Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to meet production schedules and minimize carrying costs.
• Oversee the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure timely and cost-effective material acquisition.
• Develop and implement robust material planning strategies utilizing MRP/ERP systems to support production requirements and demand forecasts.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents, planners, and warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and driving initiatives for quality, cost reduction, and on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the material lifecycle.
• Analyze material usage and supply chain data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and implement strategies for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) for materials planning and management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team of materials professionals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills to secure favorable terms and build strong supplier relationships.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with advanced demand planning and forecasting software
• PMP certification
