ShredHub Truck Driver - Grand Rapids MI

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable ShredHub Truck Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in our document destruction and secure disposal services. Your primary responsibility will be operating our ShredHub truck to pick up, transport, and shred sensitive documents and materials for our clients, ensuring the highest level of security and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate and maintain the shred truck in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shred truck to ensure its proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Follow established routes and schedules to pick up and transport confidential materials from client locations to our shredding facility.
  • Load and unload documents and materials onto the shred truck using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Ensure the secure handling and transportation of sensitive information, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of client data.
  • Operate the shredding machinery and equipment within the truck to effectively destroy documents and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, mileage, and hours worked using electronic or paper-based systems.
  • Interact professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns related to the shredding process.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations, including those related to data protection, privacy, and environmental standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shred truck and shredding facility.
  • Communicate any issues, challenges, or incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and technology.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in document destruction or a related field, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to truck operation and document destruction.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate shredding machinery and related equipment.
  • Physical ability to load/unload heavy containers and operate shredding machinery.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
The ShredHub Truck Driver role involves a combination of driving, physical labor, and interaction with clients. You will spend a significant portion of your workday operating the ShredHub truck and shredding equipment. The role may require lifting and moving heavy containers. The work environment includes both the truck cabin and the shredding facility.
