As a Security Officer - Telecom Facility Patrol - Part Time in Flat Rock, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading Tech, Media, and Telecom location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for all employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the premises, monitoring for any security-related incidents, and remaining highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity. You will interact with individuals throughout the location, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, while also assisting with access control and badge procedures as needed. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required as you may need to operate company vehicles during your patrols. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location, particularly in a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on patrol.
• Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and site leadership.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other security-related concerns.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
