Fire Suppression Service Technician
Join our team as a Fire Suppression Service Technician and play a vital role in safeguarding lives and properties. As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the highest level of safety for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire suppression systems, extinguishers, and other fire protection equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, making necessary repairs and replacements to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of fire protection systems and minimize the risk of failures.
- Document inspection and service activities accurately, maintaining detailed records of findings, repairs, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide expert guidance to clients.
- On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service and inspection requests.
Qualifications:
- Proven 2+ years experience with knowledge of fire suppression systems, and related equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- NICET or State certification required.
- Building Reports experience preferred.
- ServiceTrade experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
