Mechanical Engineer

Large utility company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Olive Township, MI. This role requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least two years of experience to manage the full lifecycle of mechanical assets using AutoCAD and project management skills while ensuring regulatory compliance and design integrity. responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical system assets throughout their full lifecycle, including strategic planning and budgeting.
- Lead design and analysis by performing mechanical system evaluations and establishing specific design criteria.
- Write performance specifications for mechanical systems.
- Provide project oversight by managing both internal and contracted engineering resources.
- Ensure all engineering work adheres to established standards and regulatory codes.
- Offer field support through site walk-downs, troubleshooting operating systems, and conducting safety or quality observations.
- Review designs for constructability and alignment with industry, CE, and regulatory codes.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Projects.
- Knowledge: A strong background in facility design, construction, and permitting processes.
- Procurement: Experience with the procurement of engineered equipment and professional services.
