The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wyoming that are seeking skilled Press Operator / Setups. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust manufacturing presses, including dies and tooling, according to job specifications.
• Operate various types of presses to produce parts efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor press operations, ensuring optimal performance and product quality throughout production runs.
• Perform in-process and first-piece quality inspections using measuring tools and visual checks.
• Load raw materials onto presses and unload finished components or scrap materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or machine malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Complete accurate production records, quality logs, and maintenance forms.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, forming, hydraulic).
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with quality control software or statistical process control (SPC)
