Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the National Attendance Program (NAP). This role ensures the administration of the NAP, Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA), and tardiness policies in compliance with the National Agreement, company policy, applicable regulations, company practices, and local contractual agreements.
Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of contract language concerning attendance requirements and disciplinary actions.

Acquire comprehensive knowledge of systems necessary for investigating employee attendance records.

Create and publish daily progress/status updates for operations customers and UAW stakeholders.

Conduct meetings and administer corrective actions as appropriate according to NAP language.

Audit attendance and tardiness timekeeping codes; correct and update employee records as needed, ensuring proper coding for personal days, bereavement, jury duty, military duty, FMLA, medical leaves, etc.

Follow up with operations customers to successfully close out and report on open and closed attendance/tardiness items.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for line management on attendance policy interpretation.

Maintain all required documentation related to FMLA administration.

Lead the 10-day quit process.

Act as a liaison between operations customers, UAW counterparts, the local medical department, and labor relations departments while building working relationships with all key stakeholders.

Identify opportunities to streamline and improve attendance processes.

Must be available to work all shifts: day shift, night shift, and weekend shift.
Essential Skills
-
At least 1 year of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.

1+ years of HR experience.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Experience with Excel pivot tables.

Experience in human resources and employee relations.

Familiarity with UAW and human resources administration.

Union experience tracking.
Work Environment
This role will operate on the C-Crew Shift. C-Crew's schedule is Sunday & Monday 5pm-3:30am and Friday & Saturday 5am-3:30pm
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Wayne, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.43 - $32.43/hr.
