Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs from 3D models, blueprints, and specifications.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models to create accurate measurement routines.
• Execute CMM programs to perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts.
• Analyze CMM measurement data, generate detailed inspection reports, and document non-conformances.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize inspection processes.
• Maintain CMM equipment through routine calibration checks and basic preventative maintenance.
• Develop and standardize CMM programming best practices and inspection procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and 3D models.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CMM programming within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
• Experience with various manual measurement equipment and gauges.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD software for model manipulation and fixture design.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on CMM hardware.
