**Job Title: Tool and Die Maker**
**Job Description**
Join our dynamic team as a Tool and Die Maker, where you will utilize your expertise to interpret specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to visualize products and determine the necessary materials and machines required for fabricating parts and molds.
**Responsibilities**
+ Possess a complete set of toolmaker skills with all shop equipment including milling, lathe, precision grinding, polishing, and fitting, and create parts to print.
+ Machine flat and contoured surfaces, grind and fit assemblies together and into mechanisms using a surface grinder.
+ Perform advanced manual machining skills such as milling contours, engraving, turning threads, boring pockets, grinding flats, diameters, shoulders, slots, and dressing radii with accuracy and efficiency.
+ Maintain close and exacting tolerances and finish requirements, ensuring the highest quality workmanship on all tools, gages, and fixtures with minimal scrap.
+ Demonstrate a working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, including trigonometry, and a comprehensive knowledge of gages, precision measuring instruments, and necessary inspection equipment.
+ Operate independently with minimal guidance in a team environment, and perform additional related duties as required.
+ Possess 4 and 5 axis CNC skills for mill or lathe, and extensive knowledge of detail cutting tool geometry for different cutting tool types and materials.
+ Multi-task and run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously, set-up and assemble new equipment, and support manufacturing and engineering on new and existing product lines.
+ Perform preventative maintenance and repair on injection molds including electrical and hydraulic components, reverse engineer and manufacture mold components within time limitations.
+ Rebuild complete hot runner systems, possess EDM experience, and basic welding skills for minor touch-up work.
+ Complete complex mold repairs and spot shutoffs.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in tool and die making, surface grinding, EDM, and injection molding.
+ Experience with progressive dies and manual milling.
+ 4+ years of experience with progressive die tool and die making.
+ Advanced manual machining skills.
+ Working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics and comprehensive knowledge of gages and precision measuring instruments.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school degree or equivalent.
+ Basic welding skills (TIG, Micro).
+ Ability to perform complex mold repairs and spot shutoffs.
+ Frequent standing, occasional walking or sitting, and ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

**Work Environment**
Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM, with a rotating schedule. Week one includes Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday, while week two includes Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Enjoy a 7.5% night shift differential in a climate-controlled shop.

The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
