EHS Manager | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.
• Manage hazardous waste streams, environmental permits, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills and training.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodology experience.
• Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
• Experience in a multi-site or global manufacturing operation.
