Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize new and existing products and components for manufacturability.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings according to industry standards.
• Conduct design calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to implement design solutions and resolve issues.
• Specify appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and finishes for optimal cost and performance.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to verify design concepts and product functionality.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs, specifications, and test reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• In-depth knowledge of engineering materials, their properties, and common manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools for design validation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD)
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly processes
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
