Job Title: Production Worker - 1st Shift - Start ASAP

Job Description

Join a dedicated team responsible for the manufacturing and assembling of custom windows and door walls. You will work in one of four areas: Shipping & Receiving, Frames, Sashes, or Doorwall/Casements. Positions are interchangeable to some extent, and you will receive ongoing training in different sub-assemblies throughout the facility as you learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assemble windows or door walls, including measuring and cutting vinyl, glass, and other materials.
• Lift and move materials repetitively, with weights ranging from 10 to 50+ lbs.
• Punch holes into materials and strip the materials as needed.
• Use hand tools and place flexy glass on frames.
• Operate machines, saws, or weld when required.
• Perform repetitive movements such as grasping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and bending.
• Stock and clean the workspace and general areas.
• Undertake other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Experience with hand tools, including the ability to hold and use tools such as a hammer.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet quotas.
• Capacity to stand for the entire duration of the shift.
• Flexibility to bend, twist, and squat throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure.

Work Environment

You will work inside a facility with temperature fluctuations that reflect seasonal changes. The environment is similar to a garage, with large doors that open for ventilation and fans to regulate temperature. The break room is air-conditioned, offering a comfortable space during breaks and lunch. Coolers of Gatorade are available when it's hot. The noise level is moderate, and the building is well-lit.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taylor, MI.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
