Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing & Payments Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to the success of JSG Monitoring, as it ensures accurate and timely billing to both courts and clients while processing incoming payments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling sensitive financial information, communicating with clients and court personnel, and working within established policies to maintain consistency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and issue accurate invoices to courts and supervising authorities.
• Bill clients directly for monitoring services and track account balances.
• Process client payments via multiple methods (credit card, check, online, etc.).
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on past-due balances with professionalism and consistency.
• Respond to billing inquiries from courts, supervising authorities, and clients.
• Maintain organized financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Prior experience in billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations with tact.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience billing government agencies, courts, or legal services.
• Background in monitoring, legal, or service-based industries.
