Parking Lot Sweeper
Job Title: Parking Lot Sweeper (Night Shift)
Schedule: Overnight Part-time. 2-3 days per week.
Rate of Pay: $20-$22
Location: Kalamazoo/ Battle Creek area
Responsibilities
- Operate parking lot sweeping trucks and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform manual lot cleanup using blowers and other tools as needed
- Sweep parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, and other paved areas according to established schedules
- Remove debris such as dirt, gravel, leaves, trash, and other materials from assigned areas
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of sweeping equipment
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, including checking fluids and cleaning filters
- Follow assigned routes, service instructions, and job schedules
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain accurate service logs and inspection records
- Report equipment issues or site concerns to supervisors promptly
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients or property managers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license (CDL may be required depending on equipment)
- Experience operating industrial or commercial equipment preferred
- Ability to work night shifts, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and climb in and out of equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
Work Environment
- Outdoor work environment with exposure to noise, dust, and weather conditions
- Overnight position with typical hours between 9pm and 8am
