Requirements:
Education:

• Minimal of an Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Graduate from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

License:

• A current, unrestricted, and valid license as a Registered Nurse from a U.S. State or Territory
• Professional certification appropriate to the specialty is required. For behavioral health, the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC™) certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is the recognized standard
• Continuous certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ALS) for Healthcare Providers from either American Heart Association or the Red Cross is mandatory

Experience:

• A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is required. Experience in correctional health, forensic nursing, or acute inpatient psychiatric settings is highly preferred
• Preferred experience in correctional or detention health settings, including familiarity with PBNDS (Performance-Based National Detention Standards) and NCCHC standards
• Knowledge in infection control, quality assurance, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance

• Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for the position
• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation
• Must be current on all required immunizations
• Required to complete all mandatory training and clinical skills verification within 90 days of onboarding
