Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan full special education teaching license
• Previous experience in a middle school special education setting strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and legal compliance
• Ability to modify curriculum and provide differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students in accordance with their IEPs
• Adapt lessons and materials to meet a diverse range of learning styles and abilities
• Assess student progress, collect data, and make informed recommendations
• Collaborate with regular education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student achievement
• Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and parent conferences
• Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
