Emc technician

EMC Test Technician - Key Responsibilities and Skills:

• General automotive knowledge and understanding of electronic sensors and controls

• Knowledge of AC & DC electricity

• Test vehicle installation and positioning in test chambers

• Test vehicle tie-down on chamber dynamometer

• Execute vehicle level EMC testing identified in test requests

• Compiling or tabulation of test results for further review

• Reading vehicle schematics and topologies

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues (Vehicle and Facility Test Equipment)

• Assist in supporting EMC lab daily operations (Facility, Safety, Quality, etc.)

• Fabricate, modify, and repair wire harnesses (overlays, splicing, re-pin, etc.)

• Support design/build up of instrumentation/fixtures for specialized test requirements and/or to improve automation of testing

Tools:

• Hand tools

• Cordless drills

• Soldering tools - (soldering, de-soldering)

Test Equipment:

• Oscilloscope

• DVM

• CAN Tools - DET/Vector/Intrepid

• Power supplies

• RF Related equipment (receivers, signal generators, amplifiers, antennas, etc.

• Dynamometer

Software:

• MS Office Suite

• ELMS

• MS Teams

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, Michigan. It is an onsite role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
