POSITION OPENING

Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach

26-27 School Year

(Spring Season)

Required Qualifications:

• Successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Alternate qualifications may be considered.
• Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.

Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Background that includes a high level of soccer knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of best practices in coaching.
• Experience working as part of a collaborative team.

A successful candidate will be able to:

• Relate to and instruct student athletes in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
• Develop and use strategies to improve individual and team play.

• Work cooperatively with administration and staff.
• Encourage student participation in the sport.
• Instruct, coordinate, and direct all varsity assistant coaches, sub-coaches and head coaches 7th thru 12th grade, as applicable.
• Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
• Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.

• Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline and fundamental teaching skills.
• Direct, construct a program and oversee the program as a whole.
• Work with other coaches by supporting and encouraging students to participate in other sports.
• Communicate with players, parents, and other coaches.
• Contribute to a professional learning team of varsity coaches.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.

Salary: As per negotiated district contract.
