Inventory Logistics Specialist

Inventory Logistics Specialist needed for a manufacturing company on the South Side of Grand Rapids
To fill in for a medical leave
Approx 1 month – may need up to 2 months.
7am – 5:30pm M – Th
(Some overtime on Fridays scheduled)
$17.50 per hour)
Performs shipping, repackaging, counting, and receiving tasks per work instructions. Order
fulfillment tasks will include picking and shipping small parts and full skids. The best applicant
should be able to read order fulfillment schedules and keep on task. Team member will drive Hi-
Lo to put away inventory. Applicant must have automotive pace, some mechanical aptitude and
basic math and computer skills. Attention to detail and on time delivery performance is required.
Will be required to lift and carry packages during each shift. All packages less than 50 lbs.
Responsibilities of the Inventory Logistics Specialist:

• Inventory accuracy, consolidation, and Cycle counting is a primary task
• Receives, counts and stocks incoming goods per instruction. Computer logging and cycle counting is also required.
• Counts, picks, and packages outgoing goods for order fulfillment. Product part numbers,
• quantities and on time delivery is critical.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve any logistical issues or
• discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, carrier selection, and documentation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Will be asked to put inventory away in warehouse by hand or by Hi-Lo.
• Responsible for work station end-of-shift cleanup. Ensures work area and inventory aisles are swept, machines cleaned and wiped down, and all clutter picked up.

Requirements for the Inventory Logistics Specialist:

• Work requires a high school diploma
• Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related role.
• Proficient in using basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with inventory management software is a plus.
• Forklift Experience
• Must be able to perform all work responsibilities in a team environment, including effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Requires consistent attendance and compliance to safety, quality and environmental procedures.
