Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Specialist to manage and administer our organization’s workers’ compensation program. This short-term role involves collaborating with HR, managers, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers to handle claims, ensure compliance with regulations, and support injured employees throughout their recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for all workers’ compensation claims.
  • File and track claims with insurance carriers, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Coordinate medical treatment and return-to-work plans with employees, providers, and managers.
  • Maintain accurate records of claims, medical reports, and correspondence.
  • Monitor claim status and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, state workers’ compensation laws, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Safety, and Legal departments to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on workers’ compensation procedures.
  • Prepare reports and metrics related to claims, costs, and trends.
  • Assist with audits and regulatory reporting as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Prior experience in workers’ compensation and leave administration.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and state workers’ compensation regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
