Softdocs Programmer

Job Description

The Softdocs Programmer provides technical programming support for all College web applications. Responsibilities include resolving application issues, creating new software solutions, modifying existing applications, and providing technical assistance to users. The role collaborates closely with the user community to identify problems, improve business processes, and help manage and prioritize the College's web application project list. This position operates within a multi-culturally diverse environment and requires strong communication, teamwork, and technical skills.

Compensation:

$28/hr to $32/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

• Degree in IT or 3 years relevant experience

• General working knowledge of REST APIs and connecting them to Softdocs

• Familiarity with classic form builders (preferably Form Builder)

• Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.NET)

• Ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient code

• JavaScript skills

• Experience accessing external data sources (databases, web services, APIs)

• Softdocs development - Familiarity with MVC/MVVM

• GraphQL

• AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery

• Web APIs, RESTful architecture

• Node.js, Knockout, JSON

• SQL Server (preferred)

• Colleague Self-Service, Colleague Web API

• Ellucian Experience

• Ethos Data Model

• Bachelor's degree in CIS or related field

• Experience with higher-education applications

• Experience working with multi-cultural students and staff
