Assembler
**Job Summary
**
The assembler position is part of a team that performs assembly duties according to written or oral work instructions. The position includes manual support to production activities related to assembly of products, material transactions, inspection, and packaging of finished goods. Uses ERP software and process paperwork, maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reports work results, priorities, progress, and other related activities to management, in the support of company initiatives, standards, policies, and overall continuous improvement.
**Essential Job Functions

Ensure that finished goods are completed and meet the standards of quality.
Assemble product based on BOM, work instructions and job travelers.
Perform WIP inspection as required to achieve a quality product.
Identify machine problems and report them as needed.
Order material based on current job requirements.
Verify product conformance to specification(s).
Perform Machine/Equipment Inspections.
Perform machine set up and verifications.
Follow written and oral work instructions.
Package customer orders for shipping.
Keep assigned areas neat and orderly.
Operate production machines.
Other duties as assigned.
**Physical Requirements
**
Employees are required to climb step stools/small ladders.
Operate basic hand tools, i.e. air drivers, wrenches etc.
Employees are required to use hand tools.
Employees are required to problem-solve.
Work may require bending or stooping.
Required to lift packages up to 50 lbs.
Standing/Walking 8+ hours per day.

**Knowledge

- High school diploma or equivalent.
**Experience
**
Operation of basic hand tools, i.e. air drivers, wrenches etc.
Operation of heavy equipment such as a forklift or lift truck.
1-year related experience preferred.
Basic data entry.
**Skills

Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
Attention to detail/Good hand – eye coordination.
Teamwork/Good communication skills.
Strong reading and math skills.
Strong work ethic/stamina.
Basic computer skills.
Able to multi-task.
