Planner
job summary:
Large utility is looking for a Planner in Jackson, MI. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and two to five years of experience in managing inventory and logistics to ensure cost-effective material flow, utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize supply chain processes and mitigate delivery emergencies. responsibilities:
- Ensures the company receives materials quickly, efficiently, and within budget.
- Monitors inventory levels and tracks the performance of current supply methods.
- Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance supply chain flow.
- Evaluates and suggests changes to warehouses, suppliers, or transportation methods.
- Manages supply emergencies, including demand surges or material shortages.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or operations.
- Possess two to five years of direct experience in the supply chain field.
- Maintain or pursue industry certifications like APICS CPIM or CSCP.
- A master's degree in business administration may be helpful, especially if the applicant hopes to rise to a senior level in the company.
