Tetra Tech is seeking an entry-level Engineer Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil/Environmental Engineering for our Lansing, MI office. This team provides design and construction management services for the City of Lansing and surrounding municipalities, as well as municipal and industrial clients across the U.S. Candidates with prior internship, municipal, or consulting experience are encouraged to apply.

Your Role:

As a Civil/Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for design on wastewater/water utilities, including stormwater drainage systems, and other municipal infrastructure projects as well as industrial wastewater treatment projects. Below are some of the typical duties of this position:

• Take responsible charge of design on diverse infrastructure projects in wastewater/water treatment and conveyance including QA/QC responsibility.
• Be open to working across office locations/projects with some travel involved.
• Interact with other infrastructure engineering experts across Tetra Tech's broad US geography
• Assist with developing business by helping Project Managers demonstrate to clients your and the team's talent for solving complex issues with innovative solutions
• Stay abreast of new and innovative approaches to solving municipal wastewater and water challenges

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 1-2 years of experience in civil engineering design, with emphasis on utilities (sewers, water mains, pump stations, site grading).
• Engineer Intern (EI) certification required, with the goal of achieving Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record that must be maintained throughout employment.
