Accounting Assistant

Are you passionate about sports and finance? DP Fox Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the Grand Rapids Griffins and Grand Rapids Rise , is looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join our team!

About the Role:

As an Accounting Assistant , you will provide essential accounting and administrative support across multiple entities. You'll play a key role in processing payables, handling accounts receivable, reconciling financial records, and assisting with budgeting. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and has a strong eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process general payables, payments, and intercompany invoicing
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and contract maintenance
• Prepare and post payments and deposits
• Maintain financial records, assist with reconciliations, and support budget preparation
• Handle month-end and year-end procedures
• Provide occasional reception support during busy periods
• Assist with financial spreadsheets, sponsorship tracking, and banking documents
• Attend occasional events outside normal business hours

What We're Looking For:

• Education: Associate's degree in Accounting preferred OR 2+ years of relevant experience
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive financial information with accuracy and confidentiality
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and accounting software
