Bicycle Sales Associate

Summary

Sales Associates are the conduit to meeting to our customers' needs by providing knowledgeable solutions with enthusiasm. This role must be solution focused with good overall product knowledge.

Duties

• Exemplify and contribute to Pedals’ service oriented, quality focused, problem solving, and fun store environment.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and solve customers' needs.
• Route customers to more experienced sales staff if necessary.
• Develop rapport with all customers and be able to explain the uniqueness of Pedal.
• Help customers make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Efficiently process customer payments and enter personal data in the POS system.
• Restock sales floor with back product from inventory.
• Accurately place special orders for customers.
• When presented with a challenging situation, take the initiative to solve the customer issue and make recommendations for a solution.
• Answer calls with a smile in your voice and with the same mindset as face to face customers, assisting with questions or routing calls appropriately.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading their vehicles.
• Install bike racks on customer’s vehicles correctly and safely.
• Clean and spit shine (maintain) all areas of the store.
• Other duties may be assigned to serve our customer’s needs.

Requirements

• Motivated to work in the cycling industry and constantly increasing product knowledge.
• Very good organization skills with attention to detail, quality, and follow through.
• Enjoys troubleshooting and finding a better way.
• Portray a service mindset in which our clients come first.
• Able to juggle many tasks and prioritize needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good math skills (i.e., giving change to customers, working with POS and computer systems, etc.).
• Proficient with computer applications and able to learn Pedals’ POS system.
• Operates under the highest ethical standards.
• Plans ahead to ensure commitments are met and arrives to work on-time for all shifts or meetings.
