Physicist II- Radiation Oncology
Henry Ford Health (HFH) is recruiting two full-time Physicists to join the Division of Physics within the Department of Radiation Oncology. This position offers a rare opportunity to join one of the nation’s premier medical Physics teams, where you will help shape the future of radiation oncology through excellence in clinical care, research, and education.
About the Division
The HFH Physics Division supports the clinical, and academic mission at main campus in Detroit, as well as the regional radiation oncology clinics throughout southeast Michigan. Current clinical team includes: 24 clinical physicists, 14 dosimetrists, 5 physics residents and 4 dedicated IT/IS programmers.
Our department provides the full spectrum of modern radiotherapy procedures, including CT- and MR-guided Adaptive RT, SRS, SBRT, HDR brachytherapy, TBI/TSET, and hyperthermia.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will:
- Collaborate closely with the Division Head and Director of Clinical Physics on clinical responsibilities and duties.
- Contribute to development and implementation of new technologies in radiation oncology.
- Participate in academic initiatives, with strong institutional support for research and education.

Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics or related field
- Board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics preferred (ABR or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
