Fabrication Engineering Manager
Description
The Role
Lead and manage a team of designers responsible for the support of Design Fabrication vehicle and concept builds. Provide leadership and direction to the Design Fabrication Engineering team and interface with the Design Studios, Engineering, all Fabrication Shops, outside vendors, material suppliers, and program teams to ensure successful, on-time builds of studio properties and concept vehicles.
What You’ll Do
Lead a group of Designers on all GVDP and concept builds
Drive build strategies and materials for all property builds
Drive implementation and documentation of standardized work
Provide status reviews to leadership
Stimulate teamwork, career growth and development of entire team
Develop strategic action plans to support evolution of Design Fabrication
Your Skills & Abilities
BBA or equivalent experience
Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience
Exceptional mechanical aptitude
Capable of presenting and collaborating cross-functionally with Design studio
Capable of bench engineering unique solutions for complex builds
Ability to evaluate highly complex engineering assemblies and recommend manufacturing methods for each part
Working knowledge of 3D modeling and surface requirements for manufacturing
