Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs required for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to develop competitive bids.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials and services.
• Develop and present detailed cost breakdowns and proposals to clients.
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material costing, labor rates, and overhead structures.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating software, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated analytical and mathematical aptitude for accurate cost analysis and projection.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or specialized estimating software.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design review.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Advanced data analysis skills, including SQL or Power BI.
