VNA DELIVERY TECH
The DME Delivery Technician is responsible for the delivery, set up and pick up of in-home medical equipment and supplies. Products include oxygen, wheelchairs, ambulatory equipment, hospital beds and many more.

Responsibilities:Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with customers/patients.
Delivers DME to multiple outpatient locations.
Collects patient payments.
Maintains familiarity with:
All DOT and FDA regulations pertaining to oxygen.
All OSHA and FDA regulations pertaining to cleaning and disinfecting of equipment, as well as warehouse facility.
Provides daily documentation for assigned vehicles according to DOT regulations.
Completes and returns daily Material Hazard logs, as well as delivery/pick-up paperwork promptly and accurately; returns paperwork to the appropriate VNA personnel.
Gathers/loads equipment and supplies from in-house stock as prescribed on patient delivery tickets.
Delivers/sets-up equipment and supplies and provides patient teaching/instruction as needed.
Pick-up and clean equipment and supplies.
Inventory control, such as product purchasing and warehouse management as needed.
Following all safety procedures/methods, work is completed in a safe and efficient manner while the work environment is maintained in clean and presentable order.
May be assigned to orient new employees.
This department provides services 24 hours a day, as needed, for patient care.
On-call shifts are required on a rotational basis and includes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required: High school diploma or G.E.D. Demonstrated skill in reading/comprehension
Required: Valid Michigan Driver's license and a driving record that allows Covenant HealthCare auto insurance carrier to provide insurance coverage.
Preferred: DME delivery experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent organizational skills.
Clean and neat in appearance.
Ability to lift 100 lbs.
Able to comprehend and use multiple software programs.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in reading i.e. manuals, delivery tickets, and communicate (verbal & written) in a concise and accurate manner.
Ability to perform functions of various degree related to DME supplies and equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Constant hearing, midrange vision.
Constant lifting up to 10 lbs.
