Framing Carpenter
:
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and understanding blueprints to determine structural framework and how to construct it.
- Attaching building materials using nails, screws, nuts, and bolts per building codes.
- Installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, and exterior trim using a carpenter's level and laser levels.
- Erecting temporary structures such as scaffolds and safety using ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
- Studying specifications in blueprints or building plans to prepare project layout and determining dimensions and materials required.
- Accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping lumber, wood, and other building materials.
- Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Examining building materials to identify any defects.
- Providing excellent customer service.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma with valid driver's license
- No previous experience necessary
- On the job training - ambitious and willing to learn
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
