Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A special education teaching opportunity is available at a middle school near Tecumseh, MI, for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position runs from approximately August 18, 2025, through June 12, 2026, supporting students with mild to moderate special needs within grades 4 through 8. The role requires in-person attendance Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, with a 10-minute buffer at start and end times.

Key responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction and support to a caseload of 11 students, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating closely with staff, students, and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Valid Michigan Special Education Certification with either a Cognitively Impaired (CI) or Autism endorsement
• Experience working with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder or cognitive impairments
• Strong emotional intelligence to effectively manage classroom dynamics and student needs
• Excellent munication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with colleagues, students, and families
