Technical Service and Parts Sales Manager

About the Role
Specified Air Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Service and Parts Sales Manager to lead our Service Department, drive aftermarket growth, and deliver exceptional customer support. This role is pivotal in strengthening our lifecycle value proposition, expanding parts and service offerings, and ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction. You will manage a high-performing team, oversee technical support, and implement strategies to grow revenue through parts and service sales. The ideal candidate combines technical HVAC expertise with leadership, business acumen, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support
· Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and Teams.
· Serve as technical contact for recurring customers; troubleshoot VFDs, controllers, sensors, and network communication issues.
· Conduct root cause analysis for escalated technical issues.
Parts & Service Sales
· Manage pricing updates and custom templates.
· Process quotes, orders, returns, and invoicing; monitor backlog for timely fulfillment.
· Utilize CRM for inquiry tracking and resource allocation.
· Drive parts sales growth through technical knowledge, responsiveness, and relationship building.
· Collaborate with Sales to identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
Warranty Management
· Track and resolve warranty issues (mechanical, electrical, performance).
· Coordinate labor and materials for field resolutions; report high failure rates to engineering and supply chain.
Customer Training
· Develop and deliver technical service training programs (factory and on-site).
· Manage logistics, scheduling, certification, and promotional activities.
Field Support
· Coordinate commissioning/start-up supervision for hygienic air handler products and other technical visits.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
· Build and lead a high-performing team; set goals, mentor, and manage performance.
· Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and process improvement.
· Implement Lean practices and efficiency initiatives.
· Provide input for parts forecasting and inventory planning.
Growth Strategy
· Develop go-to-market strategies for aftermarket parts and services.
· Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
· Partner internally to define offerings, pricing, and campaigns.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical field preferred.
· 5–10 years of aftermarket parts and customer support experience, including 5 years in leadership.
· Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including fan performance, gas burner systems, and electrical systems.
· Proficiency with ERP, CRM, and Microsoft Office.
· Strong business acumen and project management skills.
· Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints.
