Summary:
CCD is looking for a seasonal Utility Worker to join our team working mostly evening/night shifts throughout the summer months with the possibility of extending into a permanent position with our Club. A Utility worker works to organize and execute daily and weekly happenings for their station responsibilities. The primary goal of this position is to provide proper cleaning, washing, rinsing & sanitizing of china, glassware, flatware, pots, pans and equipment along with general and deep cleaning of the kitchen facilities. Ensuring that the kitchen area is kept clean and tidy at all times to prevent any health or safety hazards. In addition, other responsibilities include protecting kitchen assets, inventory of assets, banquet plate assistance, general kitchen food prep, etc.
Essential Job Duties:
- Clean kitchen equipment, (example: kettles, ranges, ovens, storage shelves, tables, carts, racks, hoods, etc.)
- Keep kitchens, dish area, walk-ins, halls and stairs swept and mopped when needed or requested
- Clean all ovens and grills properly.
- Clean walls, tiles and drains when needed or requested.
- Polish silver.
- Clean refrigerators and freezers when needed or requested.
- All glassware, chinaware, silverware and hollowware will be washed and stored only in assigned racks
- Clean and sanitize all counters and surfaces (shelves, tops, bottoms, posts, etc.)
- Properly operate all machines in the house (burnishing machine, all dish machines, etc.).
- Sweep, scrub and mop all floors in kitchens and storage areas.
- Check and refill all dispensers (soap, gloves, paper towels, etc.).
- Maintain all dish machines and pot sinks (water, chemicals and cleanliness).
- Check garbage cans and change bags when needed or requested. Maintain a clean garbage can and dumpster area
- Check ice machines for cleanliness.
- Front of the house linen will never be used for any cleaning jobs.
- Help with basic food preparations, peel carrots, potatoes, onions, etc. to assist in banquet plate ups when needed or requested.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- The ability to communicate professionally with coworkers.
- Successfully worked in a fast-paced environment where organizational and time management skills created daily positive results.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making.
- Flexible scheduling - mostly evenings and nights; potential for some morning and mid-shifts
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Working Conditions:
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Stooping, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, and other physical demands are also required.
- Continuous repetitive motion
