Field Organizer

Overview:

Sean McCann for Congress is hiring multiple full-time Field Organizers for the 2026 cycle to work on a competitive red-to-blue campaign in Michigan’s 4th congressional district. Our team is looking for high-energy, adaptable individuals to engage in on-the-ground organizing and serve as representatives of the campaign across the district. No prior organizing experience is necessary, all training will be provided. Organizers will report directly to the Organizing Director. This position will run through November 15th, 2026.

Responsibilities:

●Participate in direct voter contact and facilitate engaging conversations with voters across the political spectrum.

● Build relationships with local activists, stakeholders, and organizations within assigned region.

● Recruit and support a team of volunteers and interns. Lead volunteer canvass launches, phone banks, and other potential outreach events.

● Work collaboratively with other field staff to accomplish campaign goals.

● Any other campaign-related tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

● Ties to Michigan and the district strongly preferred, but not required.

● Enthusiastic about building relationships and empowering volunteers.

● Strong time-management skills, and drive to hit and exceed metric goals.

● Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

● Committed to getting Democrats elected.

● Willingness to move to the district strongly preferred.

● Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends

● Must possess a laptop and a valid driver's license along with reliable access to a car.

Compensation:

Salary is $4,500/month. Competitive healthcare benefits package offered.
